Long-term collaboration

Individual pricing,
and predictable costs

Our long-term clients can take advantage of framework service agreements according to which various translation and proofreading assignments are prepared at mutually agreed upon individual prices. Since our pricing is based on the number of words in the source text, in most cases we calculate the exact total price for the requested services when the order is placed. This makes translation costs predictable for clients.

Simple and faster
process of orders

Our contracting partners no longer have to request a quote or fill in and return the purchase order form, they can simply let us know their wish to place an order via e-mail or through our online request system, then forward the source text. Our project managers process and analyse the forwarded material, confirm the exact price and the deadline, and then the project can start immediately.

Generating and updating
translation memory systems

Using the completed translation and a variety of computer assisted translation (CAT) software programmes we generate and then continuously expand and update special databases, the so-called translation memories or TMs. An additional benefit of translation memory systems is that older, previously translated texts stored within the TM can be reused in future projects, thus ensuring consistent usage of terminology, shorter turnaround times, and more favourable prices.

Glossaries and databases
of terminology

Setting up and developing glossaries is recommended primarily in the case of large translation projects and long-term collaborations. In cooperation with our clients we build up a list of the most frequently used terms in the source text and their equivalents in the target text, then use this mutually agreed upon terminology during the translation project to ensure that translations meet the expectations of our clients on every level.

Processing of various
file formats

Using our character counting and computer assisted translation tools we can assess the length of practically any editable files from simple Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations to html and xml files. Optical character recognition programs allow us to process documents submitted in PDF or scanned formats.

Processing and translating
PDF and scanned documents

Using optical character recognition software programs even non-editable PDF format or scanned documents can be processed. The conversion process produces an editable text (in most cases an MS Word file) which is then used as the basis for preparing the translation. As a result, the completed translation is prepared and delivered to the client in the original layout (or a very close approximation thereof), and with the same formatting and figures or illustrations.
